Isn't that subjective, a beautiful stand? Whether a visitor likes the art is indeed subjective. But a beautiful and good presentation of the art is much less so. An attractive and well-appointed stand contributes to successful participation in an art fair.
First and mainly for the exhibitor, but also for the fair as a whole because beautiful stands are also better appreciated by visitors. To encourage this, 10 most attractively decorated stands at the EuropArtFair 2024 have been rewarded.

Esther van de Steene
Ondanks de uiteenlopende formaten en verschillende soorten lijsten is de stand zo ingericht dat er rust is. Zelfs over de plekken van de infokaartjes is nagedacht. De inrichting is strak en toch ook speels.
Despite the varied formats and different types of frames, the stand is arranged in such a way that there is tranquillity. Even the locations of the info cards have been thought out. The design is neat yet playful.
Esther Brittijn
De stand heeft een heel gedistingeerde uitstraling. Ondanks de grote en 'zware' werken ziet het totaal er heel elegant en subtiel uit. Zelfs de vaas met de groene takjes is een prachtig onderdeel van het geheel. Een belangrijk detail dat onbewust ook de aandacht op het werk versterkt.
The stand has a very distinguished look. Despite the large and ‘heavy’ works, the overall look is very elegant and subtle. Even the vase with the green twigs is a beautiful part of the scene. An important detail that also subconsciously enhances the attention to the work.
Amarins Lyklema
De symmetrische indeling zorgt ervoor dat je als het ware de stand in gezogen wordt. Dit wordt nog versterkt door de lichtvlek in het middelste schilderij. Er is licht aan het eind van de tunnel. Ondanks de verschillende onderwerpen is er toch rust in de presentatie.
The symmetrical layout ensures that you are drawn into the booth, as it were. This is reinforced by the spot of light in the middle painting. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Despite the different subjects, there is still calmness in the presentation.
Yuliia Orlova
Heel sterk in zijn eenvoud. Door de symmetrische inrichting krijgen de schilderijen alle aandacht die ze verdienen. De kleinere werken boven elkaar flankeren de drie middelste schilderijen op zo'n manier dat je bijna automatisch de stand ingetrokken wordt.
Very strong in its simplicity. The symmetrical arrangement gives the paintings all the attention they deserve. The smaller works one above the other flank the three middle paintings in such a way that you are almost automatically drawn into the booth.
Peter Stet
Deze bonte beestenboel oogt verrassend evenwichtig. Met de zwaan als centraal aandachtspunt. De zwarte sokkels en zuilen maken dat alle aandacht naar de beelden getrokken wordt. De afwisseling van frontaal gepositioneerde en een slag gedraaide beelden maakt dat het totaal toch niet saai is.
This motley mess of animals looks surprisingly balanced. With the swan as the focal point. The black pedestals and columns ensure that all attention is drawn to the sculptures. The alternation of statues positioned frontally and turned one way ensures that the total is not dull after all.
Atelier Earth / Majoly van Kesteren
Heel knap hoe twee kunstenaars met uiteenlopend werk toch zo een serene presentatie kunnen neerzetten. Want behalve de aardse tonaliteiten hebben de werken niets met elkaar gemeen. En ondanks het grote verschil of misschien wel dankzij dat verschil versterken ze elkaar. Ook maken de vaas en het beeld de stand nog spannender.
Very clever how two artists with disparate work can still create such a serene presentation. Because apart from the earthy tonalities, the works have nothing in common. And despite the big difference, or perhaps because of it, they reinforce each other. Also, the vase and the sculpture make the stand even more exciting.
Cees van Es
De inrichting van deze stand lijkt letterlijk een ritme te hebben. De afwisselend hoog en laag gehangen werken geven de stand een schwung. Ook de variatie in formaten al of niet boven elkaar gehangen werken hier heel goed.
The layout of this stand literally seems to have a rhythm. The alternating high and low hanging works give the stand a schwung. The variation in sizes with or without superimposition also works very well here.
Mary Splinter
Een heel spannende stand die precies is ingericht zoals ‘t werk ook is. Een perfecte mix van strak en speels. De uiteenlopende objecten zijn op zo'n manier geëxposeerd dat het geheel lijkt te bruisen. En ondanks de diversiteit is er toch een mooie kalmte in de stand.
A very exciting booth decorated exactly like ‘the work’. A perfect mix of neat and playful. The diverse objects are exhibited in such a way that the whole thing seems to be buzzing. And despite the diversity, there is a nice calmness in the stand.
Caroline Kieboom
De combinatie van tweedimensionaal en driedimensionaal werk is op een uitermate serene manier gecombineerd. Door de witte liggende sokkels worden de sculpturen letterlijk en figuurlijk opgetild. Tegelijk dienen ze als een soort repoussoir voor de schilderijen.
It combines two-dimensional and three-dimensional work in an extremely serene way. The white reclining pedestals literally and figuratively lift the sculptures. At the same time, they serve as a kind of repoussoir for the paintings.
Natallia Kasaverskaya
Ondanks de intensiteit van de werken is het een heel speelse stand die spannend is om naar te kijken. Je krijgt het gevoel van een gezellige kamer en het nodigt echt uit om even stil te staan en de werken in detail te bekijken.
Despite the intensity of the works, it is a very playful booth that is exciting to look at. You get the feel of a cosy room and it really invites you to stop and look at the works in detail.
